Post Lesley: FARE as a Resource for You! Kristi Grim, National Programs Manager: FARE Randall Ward, M.A.,LPC : Director Disability Resource Center Purdue University

Today’s Outcomes Gain Knowledge about FARE/AHEAD relationship resources. Improve understanding of Cross Campus Collaboration. Improve understanding of food allergy/intolerance, the student experience and factors affecting that experience.

Ground Rules Let’s agree to develop an environment where all feel comfortable contributing. Recognize that different opinions come from different experiences, but all are in the spirit of learning. Willingness to contribute, probe, and ask questions .

Small Groups Self-reflection Share in Pairs Share and develop ideas in your larger group ( notice similarities and differences). There should be laughing and energy.

The Question? What can we do to make certain that no students have access to dining services (food) in their meal plan that honor their Food Allergies and intolerances?

Report Out Each group contributes

Another Question How do our present practices and processes compare? What questions do we have that are unanswered? What are our concerns? What would be ideal?

Let’s discuss the Lingo Allergies, Intolerance, Sensitivities, celiac disease, and just plain fad diets? Let’s get some baseline understanding. Cross-Contamination, How much is too much? But there are so many students to feed.

FARE as a Resource to You! FARE Audit process and ideas FARE College Food Allergy Program Survey FARE website and relationships Role of DRC and Dining Services?
