Introduction Creed is a North-American Rock band that started in 1995, in Tallahassee. Brian Marshall came up with the band name "Creed", taken from the name of his former band, Mattox Creed Creed became famous with the single “Higher” that was in the fisrt place of US Mainstream Rock for Over 17 Weeks

Band Members Scott Stapp – Vocal Mark Tremonti – Guitar,Vocal Scott Phillips – Drums, percussion, keyboards Brian Marchall (abandoned in 2000) – Bass Guitar Brett Hestla (Replacing Brian Marchall) – Bass Guitar

Band History Creed originally came together in Tallahassee, Florida in 1995 as Naked Toddler. Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti, college friends, got together and started writing songs. They soon added bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. On June 4, 2004, it was announced that Creed had broken up.

Band History(cont.) Scott Stapp began the process of recording a solo album, The Great Divide, collaborating with Roadrunner Records.
