REDES INALÁMBRICAS DE COSTA RICA S.A. LONG RANGE AND HIGH SPEED WITH MIKROTIK PRODUCTS

Our country, Costa Rica located in Central America has 51 Our country, Costa Rica located in Central America has 51.100 Km2 and 4,5 million population.

With 27 repeaters all over the country and the implementation and use of Mikrotik products we have achieved great coverage and performance in our wireless links.

OVERVIEW OF OUR WIRELESS BACKBONE The map above shows our repeaters backbone. We have 380 currently 380 clients connected wireless.

OVERVIEW OF OUR WIRELESS BACKBONE We have implemented Mikrotik products in all our network sites. We do not use any amplifiers, and due to our country´s windy weather we use 2.4 GHZ and 5.8 GHZ grid antennas.

OVERVIEW OF OUR WIRELESS BACKBONE We have acomplished 76 GB daily transmission on a single business day.

WIRELESS COVERAGE This is our total country´s wireless coverage. We reach 70% of country´s area but 95% of the country´s population

LONG RANGE WIRELESS LINKS Since Mikrotik released the ACK Timeout feature and Atheros Wireless Interfaces we implemented our first long range link, 73 Km wireless link at 5.3 Mbps.

LONG RANGE WIRELESS LINKS This wireless link is located in country´s north region and reaches 95 Km, 2.4 Ghz frequency ,24 dBi grid antennas and 2.0 Ghz motherboard in both ends.
