Career and College Promise CIHS OVERALL PURPOSE To provide cooperative innovative programs jointly in high schools and colleges or universities that will expand students’ opportunities for education success through high quality instructional programming. Career and College Promise

Career and College Promise (CCP) College Transfer Pathway (CTP) Career and Technical Education Pathway (CTE) Cooperative Innovative High Schools (CIHS) All NC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DESIGNATED HIGH SCHOOLS

Current Status Currently, there are a total of 117 CIHS in NC 103 CHIS partner with community colleges 9 CIHS partner with UNC institutions 5 CIHS partner with independent colleges Funding: ADM, and FTE; some Additional 2015-16: 21,272 students

Evaluation of CIHS: from NC General Statute 1115C-238.55 “The State BOE and governing boards shall evaluate the success of students in CIHS. Success shall be measured by: High school retention rates High school completion rates High school dropout rates Certification and associate degree completion Admission to four year institutions Post-graduation employment”

CIHS Foundation of Success 95% have outperformed the state average cohort graduation rate. Many are at 100%. 90% have met or exceeded growth. 91% received A or B school performance grades.
