synopsis The basic outline of my story: There are 3 boys and 1 girl who all know each other. The world has been threatened by nuclear war. Everyone thinks that there is a refugee camp in London. There on their way there when a man called Andy befriends them and turns out to be a nasty man..

Setting the scene There are 3 boys and 1 girl. They are all in a old school Volkswagen van. There is nuclear war threats from Russia and apparently a nuke has been sent. They have heard that there is a refugee camp in London and are heading there.

How it starts It starts with the four of them in the van, they are in London and are trying to tune in the radio so that they can hear the broadcast from the radio, telling them the location of the refugee camp. They are exhausted and stressed and are arguing a lot.

The main point The main point of my drama is when they are travelling through London a man runs out in front of the van. They stop and he begs them to let him get in. They have the dilemma of trusting him or not. They let him, he then goes onto murder Angus and hijacks the van.

The solution The end of my radio drama is that Andy the man who hijacked the van has Sarah ( the girl ) at gun point and is making her drive. He plays around with the radio a bit and tunes it in. It comes in with a speech from the prime minister and the world ends from the nuclear bomb.

Why I chose this drama I chose this drama as I really like this style. I like films and radio dramas which are about the end of the world because I believe its something we can all relate to as we could imagine how horrible it would be to be in that situation.

sarah Sarah:- Birth name- Sarah Olivia Turner Born – 1. 03. 1992 ( Wexham Park Hospital ) Occupation - Student She comes from a wealthy background and has always been the apple of her parent’s eye. She is a high achiever and has always done really well in her education and part time jobs. She took a gap year after she finished college and travelled around Asia. She has 2 brothers and sister all younger than her. She attended new lands secondary school in maidenhead and then went on to study at the Henley College. She is currently studying law at reading university and lives with her mum and dad.

Oliver Oliver:- Birth name- Oliver James Willets Born- 4. 01. 1992 ( High Wycombe Hospital ) Occupation – Retail assistant He is a only child that grew up in slough (near maidenhead) he attended Furze Platt senior school and then studied business at The Henley College where he met Sarah. He went straight from college to work at John Lewis where he is slowly working his way up the management ladder. His mother and father didn’t much appreciate him and they moved away to Spain as soon as he was old enough to look after himself, he is a bit of a problem child but he means well. He sees his parents on Christmas when he flies over to Spain to see them but that’s about it.

ANGUS Angus:- Birth name- Angus Henry Yard Born- 16. 09. 1991 ( Wexham Park Hospital ) Occupation- Student He is the only boy in his family with three sisters. His parents are divorced and his dad lives in London with his new young girlfriend and his mum in maidenhead with his three sisters for company. Angus went to St Bernard’s Preparatory private school and then studied at Burnham grammar school. He is now studying law at reading university and is the same classes as Sarah. He still sees his dad occasionally at birthdays but not regularly. he lives in a flat in reading as he wants the real uni experience.

WILLIAM William:- Birth name- William Jake Tanner Born- 21. 10. 1991 ( St Marks Hospital ) Occupation – Plumber He is one of three boys, his mum and dad aren’t together and he has only met his dad once and was so young he can’t remember the event. He is currently lodging at Oliver’s house and is a plumber after completing a apprenticeship in plumbing. He went to Furze Platt which is how he knows Oliver, he then went to Langley college to do painting and decorating which he got kicked out of for not attending, he then had a few tough years and is now back on track

TARGET AUDIENCE The target audience for my production will probably be teenagers to adults. It will also be people that are interested in end of the world style movies or radio dramas. I don’t think that it would appeal to younger people as in below teenagers as I don’t think that they’d be able to appreciate the importance of nuclear war. Also there is murder in this which isn’t appropriate for young people.
