Remembering Our Mission Our Objectives:  1. Inspire future generations into science, technology, engineering and mathematics. 2. Share an iconic research and development programme with a global audience. 3. Set a new World Land Speed Record of 1000mph.  Thus, our Mission Statement: To create a unique, high-technology project, focused around a 1000mph World Land Speed Record attempt, and share it with a global audience.  Inspire a new generation into science, technology, engineering and mathematics by bringing these subjects to life in the most exciting way possible.

We have Developed a Comprehensive Education Delivery Programme 5,600 UK Primary & Secondary schools have engaged with the BLOODHOUND Education Programme 2.5 million school children learning about BLOODHOUND in the classroom Hundreds of school events per year International impact Every UK school child to have BLOODHOUND engagement by end of 2018 500+ committed Ambassadors Integral part of the GREAT Campaign

Interactive Education (Modular) Show Car Interactive touch screens on each of the four main panels deliver a virtual tour of Bloodhound SSC 13.2 metres long 3.7 metres high The car breaks into 15 parts to enable assembly in schools

Interactive Education (Modular) Show Car Inside each of the 4 main sections is a flat screen TV. This will show an animation of that component of the car running from 0-1000 miles an hour and back to stationary again.

The Ambassador Programme

The Ambassador Programme The BLOODHOUND STEM Ambassador Programme is designed to inform, advise and enthuse teachers, students and the general public about the BLOODHOUND Project. The Ambassador Programme is supported by volunteers who share the passion for the Project and want to ensure that BLOODHOUND SSC achieves its mission.

The Ambassador Is a volunteer representative of the BLOODHOUND Project capable of supporting educational outreach activities within an organised BLOODHOUND Project group or running individual events with schools. By the end of your training you will be able to demonstrate: Understanding the mandate/requirement of Bloodhound. Apply professional practice in an educational setting. What a BLOODHOUND Ambassador does. Understand the technical composition of the vehicle. Ability to deliver an individual school event. Overview of the safeguards to protect children. Use of BLOODHOUND BLAST. Flip Chart; To work in groups on flip chart paper What skills/knowledge do they need today to help them to become an Ambassador? What skills/knowledge would they like? Groups to put up their ideas and we can check/discuss if the session covers everything!

What They Do BLOODHOUND Ambassadors work with schools and youth groups in their local area. They develop close working relationships with a small number of schools and groups working with teachers, youth leaders and pupils on a variety of BLOODHOUND related topics. These may include: Contributing to a school lesson related to the BLOODHOUND car. Supporting a national STEM Activity (K*Nex Challenge , CREST Awards, STEM Leaders Award etc). Regular visits to an afterschool STEM club. Taking part in a school ‘off curriculum’ day. Presenting during a school assembly. Supporting school visits to BLOODHOUND SSC events. Running an activity for scouts/guides or any other youth group.

BLOODHOUND Model Rocket Car Challenge International Challenge to design, build and race a model rocket powered car and become a Guinness World Record holder! Open to individuals, groups, schools and colleges from all over the world 4 classes - one, two or three D Class ESTES rockets or the Unlimited class where any number, size or type of rocket can be used An example of how to Inspire children Can be run as a cross curricular activity with teams researching, designing and building their model rocket cars as part of their science, technology and maths lessons

Event Ambassadors In addition to work in STEM Education Outreach, we have BLOODHOUND Event Ambassadors who: provide volunteer support at the Public Engagements we undertake throughout the UK.  They have supported events such as Farnborough Air Show, Goodwood Festival of Speed, events at the NEC, Manchester Arena to name but a few. The role of the Event Ambassador is to assist the Events Team in establishing the display and then spending time talking to the general public and invited guests about the aims and aspirations of the BLOODHOUND project.
