Presentation transcript:

This is the story of Bernadette, a young girl to whom Our Lady appeared to at Lourdes.

Bernadette died at the age of 35 Bernadette died at the age of 35. Her body has been exhumed three times over the course of 46 years as part of the canonization process. Miraculously her body has remained incorrupt, although her rosary was rusted and her habit was damp. To the astonishment of the doctors who exhumed her the first time, >

all of her internal organs were intact (and still are) including her teeth and nails, and even her liver, which is typically the first to decompose. This is BERNADETTE, the one to whom the Immaculate Conception, the Virgin Mary, appeared in a grotto on the edge of a brook in Lourdes.

In addition, despite the many years since her death, blood still flows through her body. This is supernatural, and all that is supernatural is the work of GOD. Eventually the Church decided to place her in a glass coffin in Lourdes to be venerated by all who travel there. Today, Saint Bernadette would be 157 years old.

So that you may have an idea of what she is like and be amazed by her appearance, here are three photographs of the Saint.
