Presentation transcript:

Seahawks SOAR Points Seahawks can accumulate SOAR points during classes. You can periodically redeem your points for homework passes, open lunch, media center time, semester events, etc. These points are awarded by teachers during class from time-to-time. You must keep your SOAR sheet in their agenda. Your SOAR points are like cash: once redeemed, they cannot be used again. If you lose your sheet…they are gone. You have to start a new sheet. S students are prepared, O open to differences, A active in their learning and R respectful to all

You will have an opportunity to earn 3 SOAR points on Friday. During Enrichment Friday, you will be paired with another Seahawk. You will interview each other for the Seahawk Spotlight. You may not know the classmate you are interviewing …that’s the point. We are big team, and we work better together when we know each other. No stress, there is a ready-made form in Google Classroom (rwbp7), as well as some sample interview questions to use. Have a nice conversation, and fill in the form! During the school year, when you are in the Spotlight, your interview will be posted in Mr. Gath’s or Ms. Frank’s room, you get a special treat and the rest of the team will get to know a little bit more about you! So how do you earn points on Friday?? You are open to differences and respectful…meaning you are kind to the teammate you are interviewing and have fun!

Seahawks SOAR Rewards 10 points: Homework Pass useable in any core class 20 points: Music Pass (use your iPod) 40 points: Media Center Pass 50 points: Bring a Seahawk Buddy to Lunch Pass (they eat during a different block than you) 60 points: Hat Day 70 points: Open Seating (for you only) 80 points: Chill With Cobb (be an assistant to the Assistant Principal) 90 points: Snack Party 100 points: Slippers/House Shoes in Classroom 100 points: Enrichment Game Room 125 points: In-class personal tutor for a Seahawk (requires permission from teacher of the ½ class you will be missing) 150 points: Movie Party 200 points: Drop Your Lowest Informal Grade (One class only) CHMS
