ARUNDEL BOOSTERS Arundel Athletic Boosters supports all student athletes, coaches, parents, and the Arundel High School Athletic Department. Our mission is to be an organization which is service-oriented and purpose-driven. Information about becoming involved will be posted online at www.facebook.com/arundelathleticboosters, Twitter, and Instagram @arundelboosters We are looking for volunteers and could really use a "superstar" in the concession area.

ARUNDEL ATHLETICS AHS Athletic Code of Conduct Win with grace, lose with modesty and demonstrate PRIDE at all times.

ATTENDANCE Students must attend a full day of school to be able to practice or play that day. Pre-approved absences/lateness must be signed by a principal or principal’s designee and submitted to the athletic director or coach.

SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES The on-line social network sites are NOT a place where you can say and do whatever you want without repercussions. Inappropriate language, photos, and/or videos, etc… may be considered conduct detrimental to the team, and therefore is subject to disciplinary action. The information you post on a social networking site is considered public information. Protect yourself by maintaining a self-image of which you can be proud of for years to come.

VACATIONS Arundel Athletics will continue to operate during vacations. ALL Fall Sports WILL BEGIN ON AUGUST 12th. Students are expected to be present at all practices and other team events. Coaches may give players time off during school vacations but it is an expectation to practice during holiday breaks.

ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY Arundel student athletes held a 3.39 GPA for all sports in 2016-2017 through the 3rd marking period. Academics are the priority of the Athletic Department. Study hall opportunities and tutoring are available to all students throughout the year. All 9th grade students are eligible to start the school year in August.

ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY CONT…. By the end of the every quarter, students need to have a 2.0 GPA. All students must maintain a 2.0 GPA ,with no more than 1 E on their report card to be eligible for athletics at Arundel. If a student does not reach this expectation, they have a chance to regain eligibility at academic study hall on a 16 day probation period. This is a drop dead date at the start of every season. If the student does not regain eligibility at this period they are ineligible for the remainder of the season. No exceptions.

ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY CONT…. If a student becomes ineligible during a sports season, they are disqualified from all team activities for the remainder of the season. It is the responsibility of the student to know their personal eligibility status prior to trying out for any team at Arundel. Make academics the focus of your student’s high school career.
