A feeling of growing tension SUSPENSE: A feeling of growing tension and excitement.

Clues or hints about what will happen later. FORESHADOWING: Clues or hints about what will happen later. Some foreshadowing clues are unusual statements or strong warnings made by characters in the story. Foreshadowing is used to build suspense

CHARACTER TYPES

ROUND A round character is anyone who has a complex personality. He or she is often a conflicted or contradictory character.

FLAT A flat character is the opposite of a round character. This character has one dominate personality trait.

DYNAMIC A dynamic character is one that changes over time, usually as a result of resolving conflicts in the story or racing a major crisis. Dynamic characters are central to the story and are usually referred to a a main character

Static A static character is one who does not change over time. His or her personality does not transform or evolve.
