Complete or Incomplete Sentence

A sentence will be complete if it has… A subject Who the sentence is about A predicate An action that tells what the subject is doing If a sentence is missing one of these, it is called an incomplete sentence.

These sentences are complete and incomplete sentences: Not a complete sentence The author thought of a story. I like to read stories. What kind of stories do you like to read? Mary enjoys reading adventure stories. Thought of a story. I like to. What kind of stories? Reading adventure stories.
