Intro Even a slighter change in atmosphere or an insect bite can cause exasperating health problem in your dog. This might be anything from cough, sneeze and itch to rashes. To deal with those problems, make sure you know all the following things.

Allergy Hypersensitivity or over-reactivity to particular substance in dogs, mostly proteins. It can be caused by animal, insect or plant. Keep watch on where your dog goes and what he comes in contact with. It happens when over exposure to any such substance makes your dogs immune system over-sensitive to it.

What Causes Allergy Most widely affecting allergens are proteins of insects, animals or plants origin. Also the molecules known as haptens cause allergy. Pollens, dust mites, shed skin cells, mold spores etc are common plant-allergens. While flea saliva and some medications are protein allergens

Signs of Allergy Wide range of signs can prognosticate the allergy in dogs. Most common signs are itching, rubbing and scratching the body or part of body. Symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or wheezing. Sometimes it might be discharge running from eyes or nose too. In few cases, allergy can introduce problems in dog’s digestive system too causing vomit and diarrhea.

Solution for Dogs Allergy The simplest advice to save your dog from allergy could be keeping him at most hygienic places, avoid their contact with allergens and feed them with natural food Although, sometimes signs of allergy can be confused with other diseases such as anxiety disorders and tick infestation. So consult your vet first if you find any sign of allergy in your dog. Only he can properly diagnose your dog and provide the best suitable treatment accordingly.
