Which region do the majority of Africans tend to live in? The Savannah. Better climate and easier farming land

What environmental issues do Africans face? Water Pollution/Scarcity Desertification Deforestation

What is deforestation? The cutting down of mass amounts of timber that is no safe for the environment.

What is desertification? The slow process of which usable land slowly turns to desert.

What were the four main ethnic groups of AFrica? Arab Ashanti Bantu Swahili

Location: Arab North Africa

Where did the Arabs migrate from? The Middle East

What religion are most arabs? Islamic

Location: ashanti WESTERN AFRICA

What religion are most ashanti and what symbol has a huge meaning to their people? Traditional African Religion/ Animism The Golden Stool

Which ethnic group makes up the majority of the African population Which ethnic group makes up the majority of the African population? And how many sub-ethnic groups are there? Bantu Over 600

Swahili is a creation of which two ethnic groups mixing? Arab Traders and Bantu locals

What reasons are the literacy rate and education so low in Africa? African traditions do not put a big importance on education. Governments cannot afford to invest as heavily on education. Due to gender roles, females get even worse educations then males.

What is Aids? A disease that affects how your body’s immune system fights off bacteria. Can be passed through blood/ bodily fluids.

How many people worldwide suffer from aids? 34 Million

Places like the US have slowed the spread of Aids. Why hasn’t Africa? The do not have the money to spend on education and prevention Many governments are unstable, and a lot of focus goes to fixing the government not the Aids epidemic.

What is Famine? Extreme Hunger Starvation
