What is the Network? The network is a professional interest group comprising local government sector staff and councillors who have responsibility for and/or an interest in community grantmaking The VLGA (Victorian Local Governance Association) and www.ourcommunity.com.au play a coordinating role
How was it developed? Formed out of a Grant Making conference in Canberra in 2004 The Power of Lunch! VLGA review of grantmaking recommended the development of a network
What does the Network do? Shares information and promotes discussions between local councils Identifies common issues across councils Promotes best practice in the field of community grantmaking
