Introduction Gemination is a dental phenomenon that appears to be two teeth developed from one tooth bud. Geminated tooth (also called double tooth or twinning ) is counted as one tooth. There are a normal number of teeth in the mouth.
How common is geminated tooth? It has been reported to occur in the baby teeth in anywhere from 0.5% to 2.5% of Caucasian children. It is more common in Asian children, which accounts for 5% or more. It occurs most commonly in the upper front teeth. However, it can also occur on the lower teeth as well.

Role of Dental Team X-ray: to monitor the permanent teeth underneath it to ensure that they come in normal. Sealant: place in deep groove between the “two” teeth to help prevent cavity.
