Plot Summary The plot is about: An typical high school girl whose life is turned around when she falls in love with Edward who turns out to be a vampire. She learns about his true identity when her friend Jacob tells her legends about the cold ones. After some research, Bella realizes that Edward and his family have the same characteristics described in the websites and finds out that they are all vampires. Bella and Edward risk their lives to be with each other.

Recommendations Drama and suspense goes on throughout the novel. It depicts a non-traditional vampire which others may also enjoy. A challenging novel with a lot of new vocabulary.

Themes The themes of this novel are: In the end, love conquers all. Never give up. Making difficult choices can be a learning experience.
