5 minute film Initial ideas

Film planning The film I Intend to create is going to be a gritty realistic drama, centred around the life and more prominently the wrong choices of my main character played by Taz Martinson The character is presented with a choice at the start of the film. And he is invited to come and smoke weed with a couple of friends. He can say yes and bail on work or say no. The film follows his life and the assuming events and will cut back to this first choice at the end of the film and he will make the right choice. Taz will be presented a understandable character making the wrong decision. The audience should feel some sort of affection or compassion for the Main character that is felt much more strong smell of minge at the end when he makes the correct choice. There is clear anti-drugs theme

Character list Main Character = Taz Martinson Girlfriend = to be cast His friends = Tommy Deedigan, Harry Gordon and Aynsley Johnson. Parent = Sue Deedigan

Key scenes 1st scene Circling shot of Taz on a rooftop speaking a monologue looking like he is going to commit suicide. 2nd scene Happy music plays, Panning shot of happy family photos voice over of Taz on his mobile talking to his friends, they want to meet up, and give him a choice of going to take drugs with them or twat to go his job. ( this is the scene which it will cut back to at the end where he makes the ‘good’ choice.) He will go with his friends, Tommy, Harry and Aynsley and this leads to the next darkened scene. 3rd scene This scene will be a time lapsed shot of them smoking with loud background music. The shot will consist of a sequence of short arty images of smoke and extreme close ups of cigarettes burning. I intend to end the scene with the image of a cigarette left burning in an ash tray with a black out.

Key scenes The main idea is that he said he can get some drugs from his friends and end up stealing from his parents. This will involve a sinister back ground music, Taz constantly looking behind himself. This is the start of the down fall with his parents Another key scene will be him trying to do work in school and I will use the Google ( did you mean ) website to interrupt his work and ask things like : did you mean I need another hit, Where will the money come from next The final scene will return to him making his decision where he will make the correct decision followed by a black out to the slow pan across his bedroom where it stops on a new photo of him and his family laughing together.
