2016 Survey Timeline April-August: Survey Conducted September-November: Data Compiled, Report Generated, letters sent December: Presentation to Bowling Green City Council

Procedures City divided into 5 neighborhoods based on census tracts Each home is surveyed based on the 14 primary and 10 non-primary categories Information entered into an electronic database

Results Homes that are substandard in 2 or 3 primary categories are classified as deficient Homes that are substandard in 4 or more primary categories are classified as neglected Survey letters are sent to homeowners that fall into the neglected category

Results 2011 EHES Total Homes Surveyed – 5,524 Total Primary Deficiencies – 628 Deficient Homes – 86 (1.5%) Neglected Homes – 7 (0.1%) Homes with 0 deficiencies – 5,021 (90.9%)

Results 2006 vs. 2011 EHES Total primary deficiencies decreased from 1,614 to 628 (61%). Properties with 0 deficiencies increased from 4,303 to 5,021 (14%). Total homes surveyed increased to 5,524 (4%).

Results 2006 vs. 2011 EHES Total deficient homes decreased from 295 to 86 (70%). Total neglected homes decreased from 34 to 7 (79%).
