Migration Tool Simatic® PCS7/505 (V6.x + V7.x) migration to Simatic® PCS7 Open OS (V8.x)

Why is this migration needed? Customer using Simatic® 505 or CTI 2500 Series® PLCs are still using Simatic® PCS7/505 (V6.x or V7.x) supervision system and APT® programming tool. But Siemens® stopped supporting these systems. Siemens® TF driver (needed for communication with H1 adapter) is not supported by Siemens for newer Windows® version. As a result, customers are not able to upgrade to PCS7 V8 or higher (including Windows® 7 or server 2008/2012). Some customers are even using older TISTAR or PCS OSx SCADA systems, these customers too are not able to upgrade. Manually redesigning a new SCADA system from scratch is costly and risky.

How does it work ? APT tags are translated to Kepware® OPC server APT object types (Valves, Motors, PID…) are created as DBA object types for PCS7 Open OS Engineering Old Graphics are automatically converted to PCS7 Open OS
