OBJECTIVES To establish the difference between guidance and counseling To identify some of the issues that students face. To come up with an effective way of how lecturers and staff can effectively guide BU students in a collaborative way so as to produce well rounded graduates.
DEFINITION OF KEY TERMS Guidance is a process of helping every individual, through his/her own effort to discover and develop his/her potentialities for their own personal happiness and social usefulness. Counseling is essentially a process in which the counselor assists the counselee to make interpretations of facts relating to a choice, plan or adjustment which he needs to make.
