For FdSc Hearing Aid Audiology students Formative Assessment For FdSc Hearing Aid Audiology students Dr. Joanna Lemanska

Poll Everywhere Students are much more open when anonymous

In class test How much does the sound pressure level increase when the sound pressure doubles? If we have two sources of a sound with 40 dB SPL level each, what is the total level of the sound? A sound pressure level of a 1000 Hz tone is 40 dB SPL. How much it is in dB HL and dBA. Explain. A sound pressure level of a 2000 Hz tone is 50 dB SPL. How much it is in dB HL and dBA. Explain. What does it mean that the sound level is -20 dB SPL? Informing students that this kind of questions may be on the exam Leaving them in class for about 20 min Feedback on the next day

Formative assessment - assignment Might be time consuming but it is worth to offer

Thank you!
