Effective Meetings Networking March 2017 Bring: Meeting minutes, current action plans, student outcome data (risk ratio, majors, minors, health room visits, etc…), fidelity assessment data

Affirmation Bingo!! https://psychcentral.com/news/2015/04/18/self-affirmations-can-boost-performance/83654.html

What growth have you observed this year?

Agenda Questions/Updates Aligning Action Plans Networking It’s a Wrap

Questions about Recognition? Updates: PBIS State Conference 2017 PBIS Video Contest - Due June 16th BoQ/TFI Networking 2017-18 November 7-8 January 16-17 April 11-12 Like integration of Tier 1 and 2 topics together? Like format? Needs? What would you like to change? Keep?

Looking Ahead Gold and Silver Recognition: Asks for evidence of 2-3 years improving student outcomes for all students and underserved populations. Show growth linked to adult actions. TFI: Item 1.13 2 point response requires Action plan based on Outcome Data Item 1.14 2 point response requires Fidelity data to action plan BOQ: Outcomes documented to evaluate PBIS plan

Data How are action plans documented and archived from meeting to meeting? Addressing disproportionality (risk ratios?) Fidelity assessments (SAS, TFI, etc…) Student outcome data (minors, majors) How are action plans aligned for efficiency and ease? If a participant does not bring an action plan, focus on one school and begin to plan.

Action Plan Templates TIPS Meeting format TIPS Resources RtI Action Plan PBIS Multi-tiered Action Plan Template Look Over Templates

Precise Problem Statement (What, When, Where, Who, Why, How Often) Many 3rd and 4th graders are engaging in Defiance between 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM near the end of their 30-minute recess period with most of the instance occurring on the playground, in class, or in the hall because students want to avoid the upcoming classroom instructional period. BoQ Action Plan Item Faculty feedback is obtained throughout year Example precision statement and implementation data the team needs to action plan around

(Prevent, Teach, Reward, Correct, Extinguish, Safety) Alignment Solution Actions (Prevent, Teach, Reward, Correct, Extinguish, Safety) Teach: PBIS Team will create Transition-from-Recess-to-Classroom Procedures linked to School Wide Rules. Administrators, teachers, and school staff will provide explicit instruction of Transition-from-Recess-to-Classroom Procedures. Prevent: Teachers and school staff will be surveyed to gather their opinion of student avoidance of classroom instructional period to confirm as the motivator and brainstorm possible solutions (SAS - Faculty Commitment)

Working Smarter, Not Harder Using your school’s precision statements and action items from your implementation data, what kind of alignments can be made?
