Surface Treatment Texture- the feel and appearance of a surface sgraffito- scratching Impression- mark made by something being pressed onto something soft Stenciling-a thin sheet of material to mark the shape on another surface Carving- a design formed by cutting and shaping. Glaze- a glassy coating that seals the clay. Under glaze- are colored slips formulated to have low drying shrinkage which allows it to be applied on bone-dry or bisque ware.
