Presentation transcript:

Stackpole national trust we went to stackpole because we needed to complete our John muir award. In stackpole we helped the environment by cleaning a beach. Stackpole is an eco centre run by the national trust

john muir award The John Muir award is the award you get by going to stackpole and doing all these things, discovering, conserving, exploring and sharing. John Muir is a famous explorer and he founded the WORLDS first national park-yellowstone, in the USA.

the journey The way we got to stackpole is by coach, as you can probably guess and it took 5 and a half hours to get there. Only one of the coaches had a toilet and only one coach played a movie. We stopped off at two places. One on the way and one on the way back. There was a park in the first stop off but not on the way back.

activities The activities we were doing were canoeing, rock pooling, rock climbing, pond dipping, orienteering and coastal walking. In canoeing as you can guess we went canoeing in a lake. rock pooling is basically were you go to the sea and you find these things called rock pools and you try to find all sots of small creatures.

Exploring, Conserving and Discovering We explored by doing cliff walks, orienteering in the woods and in the centre, rock pooling and going to lord and lady Campbell’s house. We conserved by beach cleaning and putting creatures back where they belong without harming them. We discovered all sorts off sea creatures, air creatures, land creatures and plant life.
