Mrs. Gant – March 27th Focus of the Month Message from Mrs. Gant Student of the week: Daryl Reminders: Return your child’s library books on Wednesday. Check your child’s folder and return it daily. Picture Day is March 31st Nutrition Tip: Focus on Whole Fruits Focus on whole fruits more often than drinking 100% juice. Snack on fresh, frozen, canned, or dried fruits instead of cookies, brownies or other sugar-sweetened treats. Offer whole fruits without saturated fat, sodium, or added sugars as dessert. Focus of the Month THIS MONTH’S FOCUS: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ELA (English Language Arts): Your child is introduced to the letter Vv, the sound it makes and reading words that begin with the letter V. We are introducing the sight word A and I. COLORS: We sing the color Blue song and items that are the color blue. Like the sky and ocean. WRITING: Your child practices writing their name daily. They are also using interactive videos to assist with the correct way to write the letter of the week. MATH: We are learning how to count to 100, identify our numbers (1-20) and count how many to 20. SHAPE: This month’s focus is the star: MONTHLY CONCEPTS: Far/Near Before/After More Reinforcement skills : Reinforcement skills activity sheets are sent home daily.
