THE TIGER

Tigers are the biggest cats and one of the biggest land predators Tigers are the biggest cats and one of the biggest land predators. They weigh up to 350 kg and are 3 metres long. They hunt alone. They rarely hunt in groups. Tigers live about 15 years.

Curiosities: Tigers see in dark five Times better than a human. They can swim very well. They eat deer, wild boars, elephants and bears. They can run with the speed of 60 km/h. During hard winter Siberian tiger’s tur fades. They can jump to a height of 5 metres.

Tigers are on the red list because they are in danger of becoming extinct. The destruction of their natural habitat – forests and illegal hunting make them die. In the world there are created reserves for tiger protection. I think that it is important to protect these animals.
