Accreditation: A Quick Review What’s Different This time? New Standards & Cycle Quality Focus Essay (QFE) Forward Thinking New Standards: Effective visits beginning in spring 2016, No examples to look at so our colleges are “paving the way” in addressing new standards. Just starting to get examples from LA schools up for spring 2016 visit. Accreditation cycle now for 7 yrs with midterm at year 4 Forward thinking: Since standards are all new, colleges are not addressing any previous recommendations; however, we will ensure any previous issues are corrected. Changes in Mid-term reporting, as colleges will address any planned changes and provide updates on QFE Quality focus essay: commission focusing on quality improvement and asks colleges to ID 2-3 action projects that are cross standards, multi-year projects that cannot be added with current infrastructure & will require college/DO support Midterm report will be updating status on QFE QFE is a separate essay included in the self evaluation that will be vetted by the campus and BOT
