PORTABLE HIGH-SPEED GAS CHROMATOGRAPH

APPLICATION Fast-acting portable automatic gas chromatograph GCS-02FE is designed for qualitative and quantitative analysis within wide range of organic substances contained in gaseous and liquid samples. Chromatograph is equipped with unique detector based on the technology of Non-liner Dependence of the Mobility on the electric field (hereinafter referred as NLDM). The main fields of application: express explosive analysis and identification, first of all, in field conditions.

ADVANTAGES The core part of the chromatograph is the unique multicapillary columns. Their implementation makes it possible to achieve: high sensitivity and selectivity short analysis time (tens seconds) for heavy complex organic compounds the ambient air is used as a gas-carrier low power consumption lightweight easy to operate The built-in microprocessor controls the chromatograph's operating conditions. Data collection, storage, processing and displaying are carried out by built-in PC with related software CHROM.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Detector type Gas-carrier Typical substances Detection limit to particular compounds NLDM Technology (contains Ni-63, less than 0,45 GBq or 12 milliCi) ) Ambient air Electron-acceptor substances (nitro-, halogen-, phosphorous-containing compounds), in particular explosives, pesticides. RDX 0.05 ng TNT 0.05 ng PETN 0.07 ng

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Column efficiency thermostats from 1000 to 3000 theoretical plates (depending on the detector type and analyzed substance) Thermostats temperature range from 50 to 250°C Warm-up period 30 minutes at column temperature of 200°C Power supply 110-220 VAC or 12 V DC car power supply is acceptable Power consumption warm up - 160W, operation - 80W Ambient operating conditions: Operating temperature 5 … 60°C Relative humidity 0 … 98% (at temperature 25C)

Pre-concentrated sample analysis OPERATING WITH GCS-02F Principle of the GC operation is based on the separation of the sample mixture components in the multicapillary chromatographic column in isothermal mode. Pre-concentrated sample analysis Sampling is performed by purging the analyzed air through the concentrator mounted in the sampling device (SD), where vapors of the substances in the air are adsorbed on the concentrator grids, or by dropping the analyzed solution on the concentrator surface. Take out the concentrator from cassette by concentrator grip and place it to SD nozzle.

OPERATING WITH GCS-02F Direct SD to inspected object and move the device smoothly and slowly, perpendicular to inspected surface. To introduce the sample, take the concentrator off the SD nozzle, open the Input Chamber (IC) and put the concentrator on the tip of the concentrating injector, then close IC. Analysis cycle is automatically activated at the moment of the sample introduction according to the signal of pressure sensor.

OPERATING WITH GCS-02F Upon completion of the analysis, the results of obtained chromatogram calculation and names of detected calibration substances are shown at the table of results on the PC screen.

PRINTING OUT THE RESULTS CHROM software allows printing the chromatogram analysis protocol. In the protocol, the following information about chromatogram is printed: name of the set and application, times of creating; the image of the chromatogram and the table of detected peaks with their parameters. Each protocol has its unique number consisting of two parts: 1. GC’s serial number, where the analysis has been performed. 2. Sequence protocol number which is automatically incriminated at every next printing. Additionally, protocol has fields which should be filled by operator, namely: place of analysis, sample name and operator data.
