The surface proteins of P. gingivalis and T. forsythia were labeled with Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin and mixed with T. forsythia and P. gingivalis cells, respectively. Subsequently, the mixtures were subjected to SDS-PAGE, and then transferred onto nitrocellulose membranes. Biotinylated P. gingivalis and T. forsythia surface proteins were detected with streptavidin–HRP and 4-CN.
