YOUR JOURNAL My Math Notebook Rules: 1) Write neatly and legibly. 2) Create a cover page. 3) Create a table of contents. 4) Number the pages. 5) Title & date each page. 6) Copy everything Mrs. Rogers writes. 7) Use color for notes, but do all math work in pencil. My Math Notebook Mathematicians use journals to record data, make drawings, ask questions and much more! Your journal is a mathematical tool that will represent you and your experiences in mathematics this school year. Your journal will be used daily, so be responsible and make sure that you bring it to class every day. If you are absent , make sure you complete any pages that you missed. All journal activities must follow some rules to make them interesting as well as informative. Reasons: To be able to go back and read past examples and activities It’s your notebook, make it yours! Organization! Mrs. Rogers would not write anything that is not valuable to your learning. Colors are great, but using pencil for all work let’s you erase any mistakes! If you lose your notebook, replace it IMMEDIATELY. Ask me for copies of foldables, if needed. Adding illustration, borders, or other creative designs is welcome, as long as it doesn’t distract from the words on the pages. Respect your journal Please use tape and not white glue in your journal. Keep ALL your journals - FOREVER YOUR JOURNAL
