Steam Generation In any industrial process, large quantities of steam are consumed. If natural gas is used to heat the boiler water it is often advisable to use gas detectors to monitor dangerous gas mixtures especially in the pressure reduction and burner sections. Model S4000C Combustible Gas Intelligent Sensors are installed to monitor for dangerous concentration levels of methane from 0-50% LEL. Each sensor emits a prior warning with a visual alarm. When the alarm state energizes, the gas supply and boiler heating systems should be shut off and fresh air ventilation systems turned on.
