Photovoice project participant, Floyd Cutner, snapped this photo of a cross and a crescent moon during a visit to the Columbia, South Carolina, city cemetery where his son, who was killed by gang violence, is buried. Cutner wrote in his photo caption: “A visit to the cemetery to see those who have gone from here, especially my son who tried to avoid the streets and gangs but unfortunately he didn’t see the trouble ahead of him. It’s up to all of us to realize the trouble around us and be aware we have to stay one step ahead. One day all of us will be together again, if we have faith.
