The Olympians Group of gods led by Zeus. Could control other inferior gods. Had affairs with female gods and had offspring. Zeus was the god of the sky and thunder. Ruled from Mount Olympus.

The Olympians Daughter of Zeus, Athena was the goddess of wisdom/war. Athens was where she presided in early times.

The Olympians Nike was the goddess of victory. She controlled the fate of warriors in their battles.

The Olympians The god of the ocean was called Poseidon. Controlled the fate of fisherman and sailors. The oceans were under his control.

The Olympians The god of the underworld was Hades. The underworld was split into two (2) parts. Elysian Fields and Tartarus. Heaven and hell.

The River Styx After death Charon [the boatman] took your soul to the underworld. A funeral ritual was to place coins over the eyes to pay the fee to cross Styx.
