Lesson 15: The Book of Job Scriptures in quotation marks are taken from the KING JAMES VERSION of the Bible.

The Books of Poetry 1. Job 2. Psalms 3. Proverbs 4. Ecclesiastes 5. Song of Solomon Job 1:8-12 – That God had blessed Job and put a hedge of protection around him; Satan told God if He took the hedge away, Job would curse Him.

Job 1:18-19 – A “great wind” caused a house to fall on them, and they were killed. Job 2:6-8 – God allowed him to hurt Job’s body, but Satan could not take his life. So, Satan struck Job with boils “from the sole of his foot” to the crown of his head.

Romans 8:28 - We know “all things work together for good” to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Job 33:9-20 – That God does not unfairly test His children and He speaks to us in tragedy if we will listen

Job 42:6 – He was ashamed of himself and repented in “dust and ashes.” Job 38:1 – God Job 42:6 – He was ashamed of himself and repented in “dust and ashes.”

Job 42:10 – “Twice as much as he had before” Job 42:16 – His life span; A normal life span is three score and ten, or 70 years, but God doubles Job’s life span to 140 years.
