Presentation transcript:

Based on the novel by Jo Nesbo “The Leopard” Based on the novel by Jo Nesbo

Type of Film The genre is crime/mystery with romance. There are similar films like this, such as “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and the “James Bond” franchise.

Source Idea We are basing our film on the original novel “The Leopard”. It is the sixth book in the Harry Hole series and if the film is successful then the other films in the series could be made, too.

Budget Our budget is around £50,000,000 including stars, locations and for camera work etc.

Distributors Our main distributor will be Paramount Pictures.

Production Company Name Calvert - Gordon Productions will be the producer of the film.

Stars We decided that Gerard Butler would be the ideal actor to play Harry Hole (main character). Megan Fox to play Kaja. Ewan McGreggor to play the murderer.

Target Audience 18 It has strong language, sexual references, violence.

Plot Summary The book is about investigator Harry Hole who tries to figure out who the mass murderer is.

Look of Film It is based in Oslo, Norway As well as in the Congo There could be an option of filming in London instead of Oslo or the Congo.

Initial Ideas for Title Sequence Murderer takes photographs and pins them onto ceiling. You cannot see the face except other parts of the body like hands, and arms. And see hand guns, machete etc.

What kind of film is it? It is a crime film, almost like “Seven”. Thriller Investigation

Audience? People who may have read the books, and those who like crime/mystery films.

How will we draw the audience in? We will promote the film on TVs, cinemas and have posters, adverts etc. in magazines and newspapers. Also we will persuade people to read the book or research into the storyline to help make it clearer to them.

What will we find out from the opening sequence That there is a killer who has photographs of dead people (and those who are alive and waiting to be killed) and papers with letters on who he will send to somebody. Weapons will be around the room. A close up on a tank of some sort which will indicate a later on event in the film.
