Activities in year 2015/2016 Fall Semester

Activities Organized in Fall Semester Stand Day during the introductory week Elections Welcome party for international students House of Cards Volleyball Tournament Wine and Dine International Day Farewell for Exchange Students Christmas Calender Competition in collaboration with all the student organizations

Stand Day Total number of participants: 150 Main aim was to promote ISU among all the students and to get to know the new students. Event took place in the campus of Ålesund University College

Elections Total number of participants was 27 A new board was elected

Welcome Party Total Number of participants was 47 Main aim was to integrate new students and make them know each other

House of Cards Total Number of Participants: 35 Event involving everyone to take part in casino games

Volleyball Tournament Total number of participants: 36 (Approx. 5 teams of 6 people each). A new concept introduced by ISU. Seen as a good way to integrate Norwegian and International students. The winning team was awarded with prizes.

Wine and Dine An integrational event with presentation of countries and their culture. Volunteers prepared something from their cuisine as a part of presenting their culture. 17 countries participated Seen as a good way to integrate Norwegian and International students.

Haloween Total Number of participants was 40

International Day Total Number of participants: 195 Various cultural funfacts along with the pictures were presented. Participants were asked to take a quiz based on those fun facts. A dart competition was held. Winners were awarded with attractive prizes.

Christmas Calender Competition A new initiative that ISU took part in. All the student organizations participate. The winners were given prizes. Prizes focused on promoting ISU Total number of participants was 100.
