“THE GOOD NEWS” Isaiah 53:7-8 11/18/2012 Dr. Dane Boyles

Isaiah 52:7 7 How beautiful on the mountains     are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace,     who bring good tidings,     who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion,     “Your God reigns!”

Isaiah 52:8 8  Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;     together they shout for joy.

Nahum 1:15 15 Look, there on the mountains,     the feet of one who brings good news,     who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, O Judah,     and fulfill your vows. No more will the wicked invade you;     they will be completely destroyed.

Micah 5:5 5 And he will be their peace. When the Assyrian invades our land     and marches through our fortresses, we will raise against him seven shepherds,     even eight leaders of men.

Micah 5:6 6  They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword,     the land of Nimrod with drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrian     when he invades our land     and marches into our borders.

Luke 2:10-11 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

Mark 1:14-15 14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Acts 10:36 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

Acts 13:32-33 32 “We tell you the good news: What God promised our fathers 33 he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “‘You are my Son;     today I have become your Father.
