Definitions of types of energy 1. Geothermal power : power generated using steam produced by heat emanating from the molten core of the earth 2.Tidal energy: renewable energy obtainable on coasts based on the sea or ocean low and high tides Hydroelectric power: concerned with the generation of electricity by water pressure Nuclear power: energy released during a nuclear reaction as a result of fission or fusion wave energy: energy obtained by harnessing wave power Biomass energy: vegetable matter used as a source of energy Solar energy: energy obtained from solar power hydrogen energy: a flammable colorless gas that is the lightest and most abundant element in the universe. It occurs mainly in water and in most organic compounds . Wind energy: a current of air, sometimes of considerable force, moving generally horizontally from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. For each of the words write a correct sentence.
