Speaking Tenderly to the Heart

Hosea 2:14-16 (AMP and NIV) 14“Therefore, behold, I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness, and I will speak tenderly and to her heart. 15There I will give her her vineyards, and make the Valley of Achor (troubling) to be a door of hope and expectation. And she will sing there and respond as in the days of her youth and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. 16“In that day,” declares the Lord, “you will call Me ‘my husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my master’.”

Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

His way/righteousness: transformation brought by His living words doing the work in us. Our response of humility before Him, welcoming, hungering for and receiving His words and His ways into our heart (innermost being)

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.

Acres of Hope He will allure her He will pursue her And call her out To wilderness with flowers in His hand She is responding Beat up and hurting Deserving death But offerings of life are found instead

How the story ends is Love and tenderness in Him Not safe, but worth it So the valleys up ahead Or the ones we live We’ll sing together We’ll sing together
