A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine State has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes.

Thousands of people are crossing the border into Bangladesh every day. More than 500,000 Rohingya people have fled for their lives across the border into Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar district. Thousands of people are crossing the border into Bangladesh every day. Unknown numbers of people are displaced in northern Rakhine State. Cox’s Bazar Rakhine State

The refugees escaping to Bangladesh have walked for miles on end. Most haven’t eaten in days. They have no money for food, shelter or medicine. The threat of disease and hunger is real. They urgently need your support

Humaira had to walk 60 km to reach camps in Bangladesh. Humaira made the journey while nine months pregnant, after her husband and father were killed in gunfire.

Christian Aid is working with local partners in Myanmar and Bangladesh to provide shelter, food, water and sanitation.

You can help vulnerable families today. £30 could provide emergency shelter for one family £50 could provide ten families with hygiene kits £200 could provide four families with food for a month

Compassionate God, who loves all of humanity, we pray for an end to the violence, for peace, protection and provision in Myanmar and Bangladesh. In your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
