We are having a GREAT YEAR!!! Weekly Newsletter Week of Oct. 9-13, 2017 *This week in Math we are worked on numerical expressions. Next wee will be finishing up Chapter 1 and having our first test on Wednesday. More students are having time in class to work on the homework online and this has been positive! *In Language Arts we read “Ten Mile Day”. Ask your student why it was named that! We also worked on common and proper nouns, and contractions in spelling. *NO SPELLING TEST NEXT WEEK! *Social studies finished up Chapter 1. Next week we will start Chapter 2 which is about Native Americans. 5th Grade We are having a GREAT YEAR!!! Schedule: 8:00 Homeroom 8:15 Language Arts 9:45 Snack 10:15 Math 11:00 Daily 5/Art 11:30 Choir 12:00 Lunch 12:30 Band/Enrichment 1:00 Recess 1:30 Science 2:00 Social Studies 2:30 PE 2:55 Homeroom 3:00 Dismissal *Students have been making a Peace Poster which is due Tuesday 10/17. Some might have to take theirs home to finish over the weekend. *Please continue to fill out that homework sheet and students that return it on Monday (10/16) will get a reward!* *Looking ahead-Conferences are November 6th and 9th from 4-8pm.
