Planets and Moons Tell their Story Lessons 11 and 12 Planets and Moons Tell their Story

What type of processes change landforms on Earth? Water Erosion Wind Erosion Volcanism Plate Tectonics Asteroid Impacts Now it is time to look for these same processes on other planets and moons.

Let’s start with the book’s resources. Please go through pages 160-198 and look at the pictures of the landforms of various planets and moons. Some pictures are in 3-D (glasses are available up front) Please read/peruse/get the gist of the green text sections only. 165, 167, 182, 183, 185-189

And now the Google Mars resource: From Google Earth find the icon that looks like a planet and choose Mars. Once you get to Mars look for the “little green hikers” to get you to A Traveler’s Guide to Mars.

How about the Moon or Mercury? Once you finish your Google Mars exploration, go to Google Moon and see if you can find evidence of the 5 different types of planetary processes. (I bet you can’t!)
