Lasso and Magic Wand By: Alex Ramirez

What it is? The Lasso tool allows you to draw a free form shape to create a selection. The Magic Wand tool looks for differences in color and contrast (pixel differences) depending upon various parameters you set.

Types of Lasso Tools Lasso- Creates a freeform shape for selection Polygonal- Creates a series of straight lines to enclose a selection area Magnetic- Creates a freeform shapes, but recognizes boundaries between colors

Types of Wands Quick Selection- Creates a selection based on parameters to define color Magic Wand- Similar to Quick Selection but allows for more fine tuning
