BUCS Team Tennis: Introduction 355 teams 102 Universities Over 12,000 competitive matches per year

BUCS Team Tennis: League League competition takes a pyramid structure (as shown in Men’s 2017-18 example on screen) Top of pyramid is National League – 6 best 1st teams in the UK – who play every Wednesday plus two Super Weekends at centrally-hosted location Premier league = North & South divide; promoted to National via play off between 2 top-placed 1st teams and bottom placed Nat league; automatic relegation to appropriate regional league in Tier 1 Tier 1 = regionally split leagues; promoted to Prem via play off with other regionally-appropriate teams Tier 2 & below = regionally split leagues; automatic promotion & relegation between tiers

BUCS Team Tennis: Knockout More conventional/familiar tennis tournament structure Championship All National League teams plus all 1st teams in North A & South A Trophy All 2nd teams in North A & South A plus all Tier 1 teams Conference Cup Split regionally All teams from Tier 2 & below Championship = all Nat League teams + all 1st Teams in Prem Trophy = 2nd teams in Prem & all teams in Tier 1 Finals held University of Nottingham (Nottingham Tennis Centre) 21st March 2018 Conf Cup = regional competitions for all teams Tier 2 & below; finals held regionally

BUCS Team Tennis Timeline Sept 2017 17-18 Captains’ details BTM sign ups 29th Sept 2017 Scotland squad declaration deadline 4th Oct 2017 First BUCS matches (Scotland) 6th Oct 2017 All other teams squad declaration deadline 11th Oct 2017 All other teams first BUCS matches Figure (%) captains details sent through  keep them coming! BTM free for all University students, get them signed up ASAP before season start for LTA input Squad declarations in before deadlines Before first matches look out for email from me with relevant attachments for throughout season

Speak to AU for team entries 2018-19 Every Wednesday submit results to AU ASAP after fixture for submission to BUCS; Every Friday submit results to LTA website – more info with step by step guide in email before first fixture Re-ranking windows for new players/squad changes End of the 17/18 season speak to AU about team entries for following season (stay same/more/less)
