Objectives IDENTIFY attributes of effective teams. IDENTIFY how team dynamics affect the work environment. DETERMINE roles and responsibilities in a given scenario.

Teams “The key to success in any organization is the effective use of resources. Productive teams and teamwork in appropriate applications or situations can be the best example of using personnel effectively.” (Scholtes, 1988, pp. 1-17 through 1-20)

Purpose of Teams To bring together people to work together to achieve a common goal that they could not achieve independently.

Characteristics of Effective Teams Diverse Creative Productive Goal oriented

Attributes Common to Effective Teams Good and inspiring leadership Goals with set expectations Commitment and trust Effective communication Open-minded, do not be dismissive Recognition
