Objectives of the training To provide complex, up-to-date and easy-to-understand information about Cross Compliance (CC) To share the experience from EU member states To obtain up-to-date information about current state of affairs in Croatia To allow open exchange about practical consequences of the CC implementation
Main features of the training Five training events 38 training modules Organized by the IACS TA project team in close co-operation with PAAFRD staff Implementation period: September – October 2011 Two groups per 15 participants from PAAFRD and other relevant institutions In total 10 training days per participant
Covered areas Overview of Cross Compliance Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAEC) – issues and standards Statutory Management Requirements (SMRs) Farm Advisory System (FAS) Control of Cross Compliance Experience from the implementation of CC in the EU Discussion about practical aspects of the CC implementation in Croatia
Trainers Pavel Trojáček – preparation of the training plan, CC overview, selected GAEC standards, CC control Dr. Deterd Goeman – context of CC Dr. Milan Sáňka – soil protection, selected GAEC standards Lubomír Smrček – selected SMRs, FAS Dr. Martin Mistr – selected SMRs, FAS Jan Ulrich – implementation of CC Andrej Gajdoš - implementation of CC Representative from the JRC – support to the CC implementation
Trainers The lectures given by the trainers will be completed with the information about current state of affairs in Croatia as regards: Implementation of CC in Croatia New GAEC ordinance GAEC controls in 2011 Implementation of requirements which form the content of SMRs The co-trainers will be either: Representatives from PAAFRD or Representatives from other relevant institutions in Croatia (ministries, agencies, other institutions in charge)
Participants Could you please briefly introduce yourself (name, institution, responsibility)? How would you assess your actual knowledge of Cross Compliance (beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert)? What is your personal expectation from the training?
Training events Presentations / lectures on CC topics for smaller groups of 15 participants Workshop on the CC implementation in EU member states and the support provided by the JRC Discussions during the lectures Discussions about practical consequences of the CC implementation in Croatia Field visit to selected farms in Varaždin county - will be prepared with the help of the colleagues from Agricultural Pollution Control Project (APCP)
Organization Two groups per 15 participants Training events 1 – 4 will be held in this meeting room of PAAFRD Training event 5 (Workshop on the CC implementation) will be held in hotel Antunović Last day of the training will be dedicated to the Field trip to selected farms in Varaždin county Lectures and workshops: every day from 09:00 to 16:00 Lunch will be provided - lunch break is planned from 12:00 to 13:00 One coffee break in the morning and one in the afternoon
Organization Training will be provided in English and some lectures also in Croatian (contributions by our Croatian colleagues) Training material is provided in hardcopy both in English and Croatian (you can use it for making your own notes) Feel free to ask the trainers any question relating to the topic right in the course of the training session
