What is An essential Question? An E.Q. is the foundation for your Literary Circle

An Essential Question is a lingering question that persists at the end of a chapter which entices the reader to continue on to the next chapter.

Do you have a Good E.Q.? Is it answerable? Is it Debatable? Is there evidence? Through close reading can the answer be found in the chapter? Can a discussion be developed? Are there quotes that can substantiate your answers?
