Content Evolving Calibration Service at MBW Calibration as a product Factory calibration / SF6 Calibration traceability Our calibration capability A few words on our primary standards Our role as a Designated Institute (DI) June 2017 © MBW Calibration

Evolving Calibration Service at MBW 2014 Announced as Swiss DI for humidity Providing the Swiss humidity standard 2011 17025 Accreditation Providing traceability through ILAC-MRA 2016 Primary realizations presented at Tempmeko EURAMET-TC-T WG on CMC then CCT-WG-CMC then JRCB then published in appendix C of the CIPM-MRA CCT-WG.hu wrote and sent the review protocol to CCT-WG.CHC. They then follow this. today CMC’s submitted, waiting for approval from BIPM CCT-WG-CMC 19xx – 2011 Factory Calibration Verify our products June 2017 © MBW Calibration

Calibration Traceability For measurements to be scientifically sound and meaningful they require metrological traceability Metrological traceability to the SI can be obtained with international recognition from two sources: From National Measurement Institutes (NMI) or Designated Institutes (DI) via calibration certificates issued under the CIPM-MRA with the CMCs published in the KCDB* From calibration laboratories accredited by Recognized National Accreditation Bodies, via calibration certificates issued under the ILAC-MRA with the CMCs published in the scopes of their accreditation. * BIPM Key Comparison Database June 2017 © MBW Calibration

Calibration Traceability From National Measurement Institutes (NMI) or their Designated Institutes (DI) via calibration certificates issued under the CIPM-MRA with the CMCs published in the KCDB Directly traceable to SI units Provide a national standard Validation through comparisons (RMO, BIPM) CMC in the KCDB Top level calibration for 17025 accredited laboratories and/or other NMI June 2017 © MBW Calibration

Calibration Traceability From calibration laboratories accredited by Recognized National Accreditation Bodies, via calibration certificates issued under the ILAC-MRA with the CMCs published in the scopes of their accreditation. This is what is commonly referred to as an “accredited laboratory” 17025 accreditation Regular audits from the calibration body Published calibration scope and uncertainties Equally valid in all countries that are members of ILAC June 2017 © MBW Calibration

MBW Scope of Accreditation June 2017 © MBW Calibration

MBW Scope of Accreditation Humidity Primary realization Reference values defined by the generator measurements A gas stream with known level of humidity Traceable through temperature and pressure Calibration by comparison Reference values defined by a calibrated dew point mirror A gas stream is split to a unit under test and the reference mirror at the same time Traceable through the calibration of the reference mirror June 2017 © MBW Calibration

MBW Scope of Accreditation Temperature Calibration by comparison Reference values defined by a calibrated SPRT Reference and test PRT are held in a temperature bath Traceable through the calibration of the SPRT Intermediate check with ice bath and TPW June 2017 © MBW Calibration
