Bill, Maryann, and Stephanie had a meeting. Here is the outcome Meeting Time! Bill, Maryann, and Stephanie had a meeting. Here is the outcome

September 14th 1pm-3pm We get to get in the room at 9:30a -10:00am And we, “WOW,” the room with Carrot Educational Wall Hangings, Streamers, Balloons, and Music.

Room Set UP We will need 4 stations set up with tables: Kids Table 2 Demo Tables Bake Sale Table Agility x-pen The Demo Tables When not in use, they will have the handouts and general information on them. When in use they will be used for demos such as grooming and uses for vinegar

Bake Sale Table example All Kinds of Goodies and Treats! Yummy! Bake Sale Table example

Kids Table What is at the kids table this year? We will have T-shirts to decorate this year with fabric markers. Kids simply put their T-shirt on a T shirt board and color in the bunny  Coloring sheets Making Bunny Toys! This year card board only, I can’t afford all those wooden pieces

Demo Tables What can we help the public with? Many people ask about basic handling and grooming. This year Bill, Maryanne and I will be getting people out of their seats to watch as we trim nails, clean scent glands, pick up Pumpkin and Kestaa Stuffie in different positions etc. Did you know about the wonderful effects of vinegar? Mary Anne may just show us a few litterbox de-staining techniques for rabbit and small animal owners alike.

Demo Tables We have noticed our talks encourage people to sit and not really use the room to its full potential. We want to keep the energy in the room up for kinesthetic learning to occur. The demo activities will give people a chance to stretch their legs and get close up. Real time experience and active feedback are essential learning tools. The demos will occur alternate the lectures

Time Frames? This year we decided to eliminate the time frames. Most people come and stay for the entire session which is great! Therefore, there is no need to structure the learning. Bill, Mary Anne, and I have learned to adjust the curriculum to the crowd as we get into our topics. This will be a free flowing more relaxed “festival” vibe as compared to the previous structured style of a Continuing Education Course. We will be saving that style for Rabbits 101. 

Talks What are we going to present? Based on feedback from Rabbit 101 and past festival events, its time to adapt to what people want to know. Therefore we will be presenting: Bunny Body Language with Medical Health and wellbeing/enrichment Grooming Demo: de-fuzzing, scent glands, nail trims Clicker Training and Agility Bonding and Dating
