PEOs, PLOs and CLOs Are not subject-specific; Expressed in terms of what the learners know, are able to do as a result of their education; stresses long term, cross-curricular outcomes which relate to future life roles of the learner (such as being a productive worker; responsible citizen or parent) PEOs, PLOs and CLOs Emphasize learner mastery of traditional subject related academic outcomes/content and some cross discipline outcomes (such as problem solving or working cooperatively). Performance indicator measured in terms of tests results, completion rates, and so forth.
Vision and Mission of UMAK University We envision the University of Makati as the primary instrument where University education and industry training programs interface to mold Makati youths into productive citizen and IT-enabled professionals who are exposed to the cutting edge of technology in their areas of specialization. The University shall be the final stage of Makati City’s integrated primary level to university educational system that allows its less-privileged citizens to compete for high paying job opportunities in its business and industries. Mission To achieve our vision, University of Makati shall mold highly competent professionals and skilled workers from the children of poor Makati residents while inculcating in them good moral values and desirable personality development by offering baccalaureate degree, graduate degree, and non-degree programs with parallel on campus social, cultural, sport and other-curricular activities. Becoming the preferred supplier of market and industry specific professionals and skilled employees for Makati-based industries. 3. Center of excellence for “best-in-country” courses in several key fields of specialization. 4. Enhancement of faculty development and continuing professional education graduates in the pursuit of life-long academic and professional excellence. 5. Making relevant research and extension services for the socio- economic growth of progressive communities in Makati and the country at large. 6. Reduction of the cost of quality education to the residents of Makati City specially from among its poor and under privileged families.
Objectives 1. To offer professional degree programs, non-degree certificate courses and work oriented technology-based skills trainings that are attuned to the skills, professional requirements, and career opportunities available in the business and industrial sectors of Makati City and the country’s economy, in general. 2. To produce quality graduates with industry specific skills and professional education tailored to the preference and desired level of professionalism of Makati-based industries. 3. To develop cutting-edge “best-in-country” educational programs in major fields of endeavour for the new Millennium. 4. To strengthen the teaching, research, administrative and organizational capabilities of the University through continuous upgrading of skills and academic education of its faculty and administrative staff. 5. To implement extension programs with local government and non government organization to complement Makati City’s capability in delivering basic government services. 6. To lighten the burden of the residents of Makati by subsidizing the cost of educating their children while enjoying high quality university education that are designed to level the playing fields for the poor but deserving students.
